Description

FS Board is a non-combustible vermiculite composition board comprises of 90% of heat expanded vermiculite particles; The exfoliated vermiculite is in an incompletely expanded condition of a degree predetermined to permit its further expansion upon subsequent exposure to heat. This results in a corresponding expansion of the composition board of which it is a component when the board is exposed to fire, preventing the formation of cracks and insuring continued fire protecting coverage of the area across which the board is applied. Thus, allowing excellent thermal insulation properties with dimensional stability in the event of fire conditions.

FS Board is extensively used for the fire protection for dry & wet riser pipes for up to 2 hour fire rated protection.

Characteristics

- Abestos-free vermiculite compound.

- Tested for non-combustibility, according to BS476: Part 4.

- Conformed for Class 1 to BS 476: Part 7.

- Board dry density of 461kg/m³.

- Thickness of FS Board – 29mm thick.

The fire rated box up system for dry/wet riser pipes is using 50mm thick & 100kg/m³ density mineral wool wrapped around the surface of the pipe, secured by steel frame with the finishing box up with 29mm thick of FS Board.
